What a wonderful yet busy final week at Friarswood. There has been so much fun and laughter along with tears too.
Along with the many sporting activities that have taken place, the children have also taken part in their Activity Passport Day. The children had a great time learning outside of the classroom or taking part in a range of activities which were quite unusual and exciting.
A huge thank you to Ms Master and her team of gardeners, Danny, Joshua, Keenan and Harrison. They have been busy growing a range of herbs which went on sale on Monday. Thank you to everyone who bought some.
A massive thank you to our amazing PTA who have helped to arrange so many events throughout the year, finishing with the disco on Tuesday night. All of the money raised goes towards funding the ‘extras’ for the children which the school budget just can’t stretch to. Thank you to everyone who joins in these events and helps to raise these much needed funds. I wish all of the PTA a restful Summer, although I know they’ve already got plans for some exciting events next term.
A special message now for our Year 6 children who had their special assembly yesterday. All of Friarswood would like to wish them lots of happiness and good fortune in their next adventures at high school. They certainly have been a class which we will remember for a long time. It has been such a pleasure knowing both the children and their families. I hope they all follow their dreams and succeed in whatever they choose to do.
And now a huge thank you to the many children, parents and grandparents who have sent in gifts and cards with such lovely, kind and supportive words in. They really do mean so much to the staff. Thank you.
I wish you all a Summer full of family time, love and laughter. I look forward to seeing you and our new families on Tuesday 3rd September.
Happy summer holidays to everyone from Mrs Wilmer and the Friarswood Team
