Our trip to the Co-op’s AGM.

Our trip to the Co-op’s AGM.

On Saturday it was the Co-op’s AGM in Manchester. We went along to represent our school with some of the other schools in the Co-op Academies Trust. Three children from our Year 5 class went to Manchester to do this.

They were really excited to be travelling by train, they were eagerly keeping an eye on which train we needed to catch to get us all there in plenty of time.

Once we arrived we caught a bus to get us to Manchester Central, where the AGM was being held. The venue was very big with a lot going on!

We had lunch and set ourselves up, ready for the AGM meeting in the main hall to finish.

The children then went to find people to come to our table and share some of the things we do here at Friarswood. We used the stories on our website and explained them in more detail. Our children particulary enjoyed sharing their own class assembly story.

Everyone that spoke to our representatives were very impressed by their confidence and knowledge of what we do. They were also very pleased to see some of the things that happen here at Friarswood. Towards the end, we were able to have a look around and have a go on a virtual reality game.

There was also time for ice-cream!

We had a great day taking part in this big event.
