I'm Matt Linley-Simon, I am the Academy community pioneer for Co-op Academy Friarswood.

Hello all, my name is Matt Linley-Simon. Although I am new to the staffroom, my youngest child came to Friarswood throughout her primary learning and absolutely loved it, so I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of the staff and parents better. 

I have lived in the local area for over 10 years and am currently both teaching and gardening, as well as tending the Lyme Valley Community Orchard. I am passionate about bringing people across the whole community together and helping those in need. 

A Community Pioneer is someone who understands the needs of the Academy and local community, and makes connections with charities and organisations in the area aiming to bring people together, with the academy at its centre, for the benefit of all. Strong links between schools and organisations/charities is essential for our Academy as children, families and the community
