Early Years Team collect a trophy at special awards ceremony
The Early Years Team at Friarswood won a special award at the Co-op Academies Trust Recognition Awards on Friday at the historic King’s Hall in Stoke-on-Trent.
The ‘Succeed Together’ award is a team award, and this year the focus was on teams who have introduced some incredible community initiatives. The competition was fierce, with 38 different schools being able to enter the awards from Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, Merseyside and of course, from Staffordshire.
We are so proud of Mrs Williams, Mrs Rushton, Mrs Tagg and Miss Goodwin who attended the evening and received their award from CEO Dr Chris Tomlinson. They were supported on the night by Mrs Wilmer and other colleagues who celebrated with them at this evening of inspiration and togetherness.
The nomination from their colleagues mentioned that “The Friarswood EY Team works relentlessly to support the children with their learning both in and out of the classroom. Although resources are not unlimited, they forever come up with new ways and alternatives to ensure that every child receives the best education. Their enthusiasm is endless, their work with families and outside agencies is admirable and their passion in educating the children is boundless."
We can't wait to see what the team achieves next!
